So today is my birthday. Thank you. Doesn't the age of 44 look kinda cool, both numbers being the same? There's a certain symmetry when the numbers in your age are the same. This probably goes for 00 too but we never get to celebrate that particular birthday. 99 seems really far away, and 111 seems like an impossibilty. But 22 and 33 and 44 have been doable. The above font doesn't show it, but if you look at four-four without the closed top upside down it looks like "hh," which stand for...something. Anyway, today is going to be filled with watching TV, reading, eating something bad for me, drinking alcohol, and having some ice cream. Oh, and I still have to work all day.
In other breaking news, I've joined Facebook again. I know, I know, I had this big rant a while back (which I have now deleted because I don't want to look like a tool on my own site - not anymore than I usually do anyway) about how Facebook was a time suck and now I've gone and flushed my integrity down the toilet by signing up for it again. But I've had so many people asking me when I was going to get on Facebook, plus I'm already on Twitter all the time, I figured, hey, what not? I have no idea how much I'll be on Facebook, other than to drive people here and maybe repeat something I've done on Twitter, but it's a good way to get the word out about stuff I'm doing. It's sort of like having your number in the phonebook: you might not do much with it, but it's a way for people to get in touch with you.
Translation: I've given in to peer pressure!
I have a stack of DVDs on my shelf, movies I haven't seen yet that I'll try to get to today after the work is done: Wanted, Role Models, several film noirs (or is that films noir?). I also have the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, but the original is one of my favorite movies and I'm afraid of what they did to it. Or maybe that's a reason to watch it, so the original will look better. I've read reviews from a couple of people whose opinions I trust so I'll give it a shot. But if no actual standing still of the Earth takes place, I'm gonna be pissed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
77 looks like a cool number. And 88 is good because you can turn it upside down and it looks the same. Sidesways it becomes double infinity.
